Undergraduate Research Leads to Publication in SCIE Journal
2025-04-28 Research
A research team led by Professor Yoonseok Park at the Department of Advanced Materials Engineering has developed a bio-inspired magnetic heart valve system capable of precisely regulating blood flow using magnetic fields. The results were published in the high-impact journal Advanced Materials (Impact Factor 27.4) under the title, “Bio-Inspired, Miniaturized Magnetic Heart Valve System for Superior Performance Cardiovascular Simulator.” The project is particularly meaningful as it began during the undergraduate research experience of Student Jeongmin Yoo (Advanced Materials, ’19), the paper’s first author. Student Yoo continued the work for over two years and has since decided to pursue graduate studies to further his research.More -

College of Pharmacy Team Led by Professor Jeong Uk Choi Develops Novel Nanoparticle for Solid Tumor Treatment
2025-04-28 Research
A research team led by Professor Jeong Uk Choi at the College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with Professor Jooho Park from the Department of Biomedical Chemistry at Konkuk University (GLOCAL Campus), has developed a nanocomplex for solid tumor treatment, named HepDL. The name “HepDL” refers to a self-assembling nanocomplex composed of heparin (Hep), doxorubicin (D), and lenalidomide (L). The study was conducted by Yun-Hwa Jeong, a doctoral researcher at Kyung Hee, along with Minho Seo (Master’s program) and Bison Seo (Bachelor’s program) from Konkuk University. The research was recognized for its excellence and published online in Nano Today (Impact Factor 13.2), a leading international journal in nanoscience, under the title, “Lenalidomide-More -
EVs Now Charge in Just 15 Minutes
2025-04-28 Research
While the electric vehicle (EV) market is expanding rapidly, limitations in driving range and charging time continue to hinder its competitiveness with internal combustion engine vehicles. To accelerate EV adoption, the development of ultra-fast charging technologies that overcome these constraints has become increasingly critical.More -
